The Brief
Houston-based Motiva Enterprises brought in Hundred to help embed the company’s newly defined mission, priorities and values across the organization, which includes North America’s largest refinery and a nationwide fuel distribution network. Working alongside executive leadership and HR staff, we turned the culture concepts into a reality for each employee.
Hundred worked with Motiva executive leadership and the Human Resources staff to develop communications materials to facilitate delivering a consistent message across the company. In addition, Hundred helped to design a performance management system which truly incorporated the “how” a person performs and not just what they achieve. Finally, in conjunction with the executive leadership, Hundred helped to identify the developing leaders who could be prepared for successful transition to the leadership team.
Our involvement went beyond developing creative, practical ways to engage with employees in both offices and plant environments. We also coached leaders on how to model and lead from the values and helped redesign performance management and recognition systems to bring to life the behaviors that demonstrate commitment to Motiva’s corporate values. By identifying the biggest levers to focus on, from recruitment through rewards, we enabled Motiva to achieve significant culture transformation in a short timeframe.

Created tool kits to engage and support leaders plus engagement approaches and communication tools to reach all employees
Engaged one-on-one with key leaders to equip and enable them to demonstrate the desired behaviors and culture.
Aligned onboarding, leadership development, reward and recognition programs to connect to strategy and policy
